What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to meet and for you to share what has brought you to therapy. You don’t need to prepare or know exactly what you want to say — many people simply start where they are. I will ask a few gentle questions to get a sense of your background and what you are hoping for. By the end of the session, you should have a feel for whether working together feels right.
How long will I need therapy?
There is no fixed answer. Some people come for a few months to work through a specific issue, while others choose to continue longer-term as they
explore their lives in more depth. We can discuss your needs as we go along and review regularly.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. Alongside face-to-face sessions in Liverpool Street, I also work online via secure video platform. Some clients choose to work entirely online; others mix in-person and online sessions depending on their schedules.
How much are sessions?
Sessions are £110 and last 50 minutes. Fees are payable in advance or on the day by bank transfer or at the end of each month.
What is your cancellation policy?
Therapy works best when it takes place at the same time each week. Once we agree on a regular session, that time is reserved for you, and fees are charged whether or not you attend. This structure provides consistency and helps the work develop.
I take planned breaks at Christmas, Easter, and during the summer, and I will give you these dates in advance. If exceptional circumstances arise, we can always discuss them together.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is central to therapy. The only exceptions are very rare situations where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or where I am required by law to share information. I can explain more about this when we meet.
Can I try just one session?
Yes. Many people find that meeting once is enough to know whether it feels like the right fit. You are under no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel right for you.
Where are you located?
My practice is based at Longcroft House, directly opposite Liverpool Street Station in London. It is easily accessible from the City, Shoreditch, Moorgate and surrounding areas.
